August 28
Pastor Terry today talked a lot about our annual Malmo Festival which just ended last Friday. Lots of great testimonies about reaching out.
Our different fellowship groups testify about great moments.
The Filipinos handed out a lot of gospel tracks, The Iranians handed out many New Testaments in Farsi and Street church handed out almost 20.000 bible verses.
A great week at the festival.
Pastor Terry then continued to talk from Acts 8:26-40 to draw some of the vital lessons on "Living on Assignment" of the evangelist Philip . Philip was at the right place at the right time because he was so tuned into the voice of the Holy Spirit and obedient to his guiding. He was able to recognize easily the Holy Spirit that's why he could leave his thriving ministry to go to a desert place in Gaza. He then did not lose a moment to react immediately. Seizing the opportunity God brought, he could respond appropriately by witnessing to an Ethiopian eunuch, who was a man of influence in his country. Philip's sensitivity and obedience to the Spirit led the eunuch, deciding immediately to get baptized, to receiving supernaturally what God had for him.
Jesus said in John 4.35 'Do you not say,'Four months more and then comes harvest?' But look, I tell you, look around at the fields, they are already white, ripe for harvesting. We need to take advantage of every opportunity to make God's name great here in our city. While we hesitate, Satan devastates.
A wonderful Sunday at Church!
